D2 Custom – Terms and Conditions of Service
Last Updated: April 12, 2026
These Terms and Conditions govern firearm transfers and related services provided by D2 Custom. By scheduling an appointment, submitting a transfer request, or otherwise using D2 Custom's services, you acknowledge that you have read and agree to these Terms and Conditions.
1. Legal Disclosure
D2 Custom is a registered trade name and DBA (Doing Business As) of D2 IT Solutions LLC, a North Carolina limited liability company.
All services provided by D2 Custom, including firearm transfers and related services, are provided by D2 IT Solutions LLC under the D2 Custom trade name.
All firearm transactions remain subject to applicable federal, state, and local law.
2. FFL Transfer Operations & Shop Policy
D2 Custom is a home-based, appointment-only Federal Firearms Licensee (FFL). Secure firearm storage space is limited, and customers are expected to retrieve transferred firearms promptly after being notified that they are available.
Appointments
No Walk-Ins: Customers must have a firearm or other serialized item in D2 Custom's possession and receive notification that it is ready before scheduling a transfer appointment.
Appointment Required: Transfers are completed by appointment only.
Missed Appointments: Missing or rescheduling an appointment does not extend the complimentary storage period or suspend applicable storage charges unless D2 Custom agrees otherwise.
Residential Location: Please respect the privacy of the residence and arrive only for a confirmed appointment.
Grace Period: If you are late by 15 minutes or more without notice, Your appointment will be considered cancelled and will have to be rescheduled. Please respect my time as I take time out of other work to be available for these scheduled appointments.
Arrival
Park on the side of the road in front of the residence without blocking any driveway.
The shop is located in the attached garage.
Upon arrival, call, text, or ring the doorbell located to the left of the garage door.
The garage door may remain closed during appointments for heating, air-conditioning, privacy, or security.
Identification & Transfer Eligibility
Customers must provide all identification and documentation required by applicable law.
A valid North Carolina driver's license or other acceptable government-issued identification must reflect the customer's current residence.
If a North Carolina Concealed Carry Permit or other documentation is presented for purposes related to the transfer, the information must meet all applicable legal requirements.
D2 Custom will not transfer a firearm to any person when doing so would violate federal, state, or local law.
3. Transfer Fees & Payment
Standard Transfer Fee - $50.00 for the first serialized item.
Multiple Items - Additional serialized items completed for the same customer during the same appointment receive a 25% discount, making the transfer fee $37.50 for each additional serialized item.
When Transfer Fees Become Due
Transfer fees compensate D2 Custom for receiving, inspecting for shipment-related issues, recording, securing, administering, and processing transferred firearms or serialized items.
The applicable transfer fee remains due when a firearm has been received and processed by D2 Custom even if the customer ultimately:
does not complete the transfer;
fails or is denied a required background check;
fails to provide acceptable identification or documentation;
requests that the firearm be returned or transferred elsewhere;
fails to appear for a scheduled appointment; or
otherwise does not take possession of the firearm.
A transfer fee is a service charge and is separate from the customer's purchase price paid to the firearm seller.
Payment Methods
D2 Custom currently accepts:
Cash
Cash App
Venmo
PayPal
Zelle
Credit and debit cards are not currently accepted for firearm transfer fees.
4. Firearm Storage
D2 Custom provides limited complimentary storage to allow customers a reasonable period to schedule and complete their transfer.
Because D2 Custom is a home-based FFL with limited secure storage capacity, extended storage is subject to additional charges.
Complimentary Storage
The first 14 calendar days are provided at no additional storage charge.
The storage period begins when D2 Custom first notifies the customer that the firearm or serialized item has been received and is available to schedule for transfer.
Compact Storage
Compact storage generally includes handguns, receivers, frames, and other firearms or serialized items requiring comparable secure-storage space.
Days 0–14: No storage charge.
Days 15–30: $5.00 per seven-day period or portion thereof, per stored item.
Day 31 and thereafter: $3.00 per calendar day, per stored item.
Oversized Storage
Oversized storage generally includes rifles, shotguns, long guns, and firearms or serialized items received in cases, boxes, or packaging requiring substantially more secure-storage space.
Days 0–14: No storage charge.
Days 15–30: $7.50 per seven-day period or portion thereof, per stored item or package.
Day 31 and thereafter: $5.00 per calendar day, per stored item or package.
D2 Custom will determine the appropriate storage category based primarily on the amount of secure-storage space reasonably required by the firearm, serialized item, case, box, or other associated packaging.
Storage Charges Continue Until Resolution
Storage charges continue to accrue until the firearm is:
lawfully transferred to the customer;
returned or shipped to another FFL or seller;
otherwise lawfully disposed of; or
D2 Custom agrees in writing to waive or suspend further storage charges.
Scheduling an appointment does not stop storage charges. Storage ends when the firearm actually leaves D2 Custom's custody or when D2 Custom expressly agrees otherwise.
5. Communication, Extensions & Courtesy Waivers
D2 Custom understands that emergencies, travel, scheduling difficulties, financial circumstances, and other unexpected situations occur.
Customers who are unable to retrieve a firearm should contact D2 Custom as soon as reasonably possible.
Customers who remain in reasonable communication and make reasonable arrangements to complete or otherwise resolve their transfer may be granted additional time or may have storage charges reduced, suspended, or waived at D2 Custom's discretion.
Any extension, reduction, suspension, or waiver is a courtesy and:
must be approved by D2 Custom;
does not permanently modify these Terms and Conditions;
does not establish a waiver for future charges or transactions; and
does not require D2 Custom to provide the same accommodation in another situation.
D2 Custom's storage policy is intended primarily to prevent firearms from occupying limited secure-storage space indefinitely when customers fail to communicate or make arrangements for their property.
6. Background Check Denials & Incomplete Transfers
A denied, cancelled, delayed, or otherwise incomplete firearm transfer does not automatically cancel applicable transfer fees, storage charges, or other charges already incurred.
A customer who is unable to lawfully take possession of a firearm must contact D2 Custom to make arrangements for another lawful disposition.
Depending on the circumstances, available options may include:
return to the originating seller or FFL;
shipment to another appropriately licensed FFL; or
another disposition permitted by applicable law.
D2 Custom will not transfer or release a firearm in a manner prohibited by law.
7. Returns & Outbound Transfers
A firearm received by D2 Custom is not automatically returned to the originating seller because the customer fails to retrieve it, fails a background check, or becomes unresponsive.
Any return or outbound transfer must be arranged and approved before shipment.
When a firearm is returned to a seller, transferred to another FFL, or otherwise shipped at the customer's request, the customer is responsible for applicable charges, which may include:
the original transfer fee;
accrued storage charges;
outbound processing or transfer fees;
shipping charges;
insurance;
signature or delivery requirements;
packaging materials when additional packaging is reasonably required; and
other reasonable costs associated with the requested disposition.
To the extent permitted by applicable law, outstanding charges must be paid before D2 Custom voluntarily releases a firearm for outbound shipment or transfer.
D2 Custom is not responsible for a seller's refusal to accept a return, expiration of the seller's return period, restocking charges, refunds, or other policies imposed by the original seller.
8. Unclaimed & Abandoned Firearms
D2 Custom cannot provide indefinite firearm storage.
Any firearm or serialized item remaining in D2 Custom's possession for 90 days or more after the customer is notified that it is available, with applicable fees unpaid and without reasonable communication or arrangements from the customer, may be considered abandoned.
Abandoned firearms or serialized items are subject to sale or other lawful disposition by D2 Custom. Any proceeds may be applied toward unpaid transfer fees, storage charges, and other amounts or reasonable costs associated with the transaction or disposition, as permitted by law.
D2 Custom may extend the 90-day period at its discretion when a customer remains in communication and makes reasonable arrangements.
9. NFA-Regulated Firearms
Firearms regulated under the National Firearms Act may be subject to additional federal requirements concerning possession, registration, transfer, cancellation, return, or other disposition.
D2 Custom may apply different procedures or storage requirements to NFA-regulated firearms when necessary to comply with applicable federal law or ATF requirements.
Nothing in these Terms authorizes a disposition of an NFA-regulated firearm contrary to federal law.
10. Safety
Safe Handling
All firearms entering or leaving the shop must be unloaded and appropriately encased unless D2 Custom instructs otherwise.
Do not unholster, uncase, load, manipulate, or display a firearm at the shop unless instructed to do so.
11. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, D2 IT Solutions LLC, DBA D2 Custom, is not responsible for damage, injury, loss, or liability resulting from the subsequent use, misuse, alteration, mechanical condition, or mechanical failure of a firearm transferred through D2 Custom, except to the extent liability cannot legally be excluded.
Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot legally be limited or excluded under applicable law.

13. Changes to These Terms
D2 Custom may update these Terms and Conditions periodically.
Unless otherwise required by law or expressly agreed, changes to storage rates, abandonment periods, or other material firearm-transfer terms will apply prospectively and will not retroactively increase charges associated with a firearm already received under a prior version of these Terms.
The version applicable to a transaction will generally be the version in effect when the applicable transfer appointment or service was scheduled or when the firearm was accepted for that transaction.
