Home-Based Transfers

D2 Custom is a home-based Federal Firearms Licensee with limited secure storage. Schedule only after being notified that your item has been received and is ready.

First serialized item

$50.00

Standard transfer fee.

Each additional item

$37.50

For the same customer during the same appointment.

Complimentary storage

14 days

Begins when availability notice is first sent.

Before your appointment

  • Your firearm or serialized item must already be in D2 Custom’s possession.
  • You must have received notice that the item is available to schedule.
  • Bring a valid North Carolina driver’s license or acceptable government-issued identification reflecting your current residence.
  • Any North Carolina Concealed Carry Permit or other documentation must meet applicable legal requirements.

Arrival and payment

  • Park on the side of the road without blocking a driveway.
  • The shop is in the attached garage. Call, text, or ring the doorbell to the left of the garage door.
  • Accepted payment methods are Cash, Cash App, Venmo, PayPal, and Zelle.
  • Credit and debit cards are not currently accepted for firearm transfer fees.

Storage summary

Storage charges after day 14

D2 Custom determines the storage category primarily by the amount of secure space required by the item and its packaging. Scheduling an appointment does not stop storage charges.

Compact storage

Days 15–30: $5.00 per seven-day period or portion thereof, per item.

Day 31 onward: $3.00 per calendar day, per item.

Oversized storage

Days 15–30: $7.50 per seven-day period or portion thereof, per item or package.

Day 31 onward: $5.00 per calendar day, per item or package.
